Managing Director and Arborist/Tree Surgeon
🌿 Today, CJ Tree Surgeons are the West Midlands top-rated tree cutting specialists, but this story began when owner James was just 17 years old.
Even from an early age, James had an innate affinity with the trees & the earth, spending all the time he could outdoors, and never understanding why anyone would want to be inside. To this day, he is happiest when tangled up in a 100ft poplar!
As soon as school ended, James’ love for nature scaled into a full-time occupation. He became an apprentice for a local tree surgery company, and quickly ‘climbed’ his way up the ranks to become a technically skilled arborist, with an exceptional talent for tree work.
With his green-fingered intuition for what makes trees thrive, and a born leader streak, James knew he wanted to start his own tree surgery company built on his roots; a deep respect of mother nature, and the environment.

CJ Tree Surgeons HQ is based in a picturesque farm in Hanbury, Worcestershire.
Every morning at the break of dawn, the CJ Trees team of first-class tree surgeons are briefed on the day ahead & load up their vans with top of the range equipment, to the backdrop of rolling hills. 🌾
The CJ Tree Surgeons team are all first-class tree surgeons. Each team member is spirited, tenacious and technical, aligned with the CJ Trees mission to deliver a 5-star service to every client. Our company culture combo of rigorous industry-standard training & team bonding, means that all our fully qualified arborists operate together seamlessly to maintain and preserve every landscape they work in.
